Premium full-service is quoted as a fixed-fee proposal after a survey. You know the price before move day. Standard hourly is rate-based — both are written, transparent, no hidden extras.

Can you handle high-value items — art, wine, antiques?

Yes. Specialist handling is part of the premium scope. We use art crating, climate-aware wine handling, and dedicated padded crates for antiques. Documented in your proposal.

Do you do interstate or just Auckland?

We're an Auckland-based team and most premium moves are within Auckland. We do handle moves to Hamilton, Tauranga, and the broader North Island — let us know during the discovery call.

How far in advance should I book a premium move?

4–6 weeks is comfortable for premium full-service so we can survey, propose, and reserve a packing day. Last-minute bookings happen — call us and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

What insurance is included?

Family Movers carries $1M public liability cover on every job. For high-value premium moves we can also coordinate carrier-specific transit insurance — your coordinator will walk you through it.

Can you do same-day or weekend moves?

Yes — we operate Mon–Sun. Premium moves are typically planned over 2–3 days (pack, move, set-up) and can land on weekends.

Do you work with relocation companies or employer-paid moves?

Yes. We're set up for employer-paid relocations and work directly with several relocation companies in NZ. We can invoice the company directly and provide all the paperwork they need.
